The new middle school head will also join this community just months before the opening of a 35,000-square foot middle school building unlike any in the area. ROLE OVERVIEW The Head of Middle School will join McDonogh’s community as a transformational leader, administrator, and mentor for students and faculty. In coordination with the other division leadership and the administrative team, the head will help set vision for children in the middle school as they begin to establish their identities and values as young adults and meaningful contributors to the world. The head will also inspire an expert faculty as they expand their own abilities as professionals and as LifeReady teachers. The next middle school head will distinguish him or herself as a joyful, relational leader committed to students, parents, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Upper School Visual Arts Teacher

McDonogh School is in search of an Upper School Visual Arts Teacher with a passion for creating dynamic and student-centered educational experiences. A strong candidate possesses the ability to utilize a wide range of artistic media in order to develop students’ creative confidence, curiosity, and technical ability. It is essential that they possess a breadth of artistic and educational experience in addition to a deep understanding of their personal specialty. The candidate must be comfortable working in a high energy and fast-paced environment within which the facilitation and management of numerous student projects occur simultaneously. Additionally, the applicant needs to be willing and excited to work with a team that embraces continual ideation, reflection, and development for the advancement of an ever-evolving art program. More specifically, art-educators with a background in Digital Media are highly encouraged to apply. An essential piece of this position will be to aid in the development of meaningful curricula that embrace a multitude of digital media approaches to artistic creation. Technical experience managing a digital art lab is also a plus; this would include a deep knowledge of Mac/PC machines and software, printers, scanners, cameras, pen tablets, smart devices, VR/AR technology, networking, etc.

McDonogh School is seeking an energetic, intellectual, and caring individual to teach Upper School French. The optimal candidate is a teacher-coach capable of teaching introductory-level through Post-AP French-language learners, and is also able to teach Spanish on an as-needed basis.
