Maintenance

McDonogh School is seeking to hire a qualified Maintenance worker. The Maintenance worker reports directly to the Director of Maintenance and performs duties to ensure the proper maintenance, repair, and renovation of the facilites, infrastructure, and utility systems of the school.

Oliver/MacMullan Intern

The Oliver/MacMullan Internship Program was formed in honor of Ray Oliver (1940 McDonogh graduate, 24-year math chair, 45-year teacher-coach) and Jack MacMullan (43-year teacher, coach, athletic director). The school will invite recent college graduates interested in working in an independent school environment to apply for an internship. The program seeks applicants from all academic areas, as well as the arts, physical education, and music. The intern will be expected to bring energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and the athletic arena. He or she will teach one or two classes, coach a sport all three seasons, and observe master teachers at their craft. Interns will have the opportunity to live on campus when there are openings.

Upper School English Teacher

An ideal Upper School English teacher is dynamic, caring, intellectual, and able to teach a wide variety of literature to all ages and levels of students. The teacher will work with students in grades 9 - 12.

An ideal Upper School Mathematics Teacher is dynamic, has the ability to teach all levels of mathematics courses from Algebra I through Calculus, specifically teaching Calculus AB and/or BC, and is interested in developing strong problem-solving and communication competencies in students.
