Math Explosion - Traditions - McDonogh School

Math Explosion

The annual Math Explosion in the spring, is proof that math can be fun. On this math-filled day where numbers, shapes, counting, measuring, and problem-solving is everywhere, lower schoolers participate in a wide variety of activities such as a math-themed mini-golf course built by eighth graders, to constructing spaghetti towers and playing carnival games run by sixth graders. All of the activities centered around math challenges, show the lower schoolers how math can be found everywhere.
