Before the first full day of classes on Tuesday, August 30, students and teachers gathered to make introductions, play games with new classmates and friends, and give back to the community. The Lower School hosted "Meacher Teacher," where new and returning students visited their classrooms and met their teachers and classmates. The Middle School enjoyed Mingle and Munch—an introduction to the school year, mixed with plenty of fun and games. Juniors and seniors had orientation at the Pearlstone Retreat Center and Outdoor Education Campus where they participated in a variety of activities, heard from Head of School Dave Farace '87, and enjoyed a swim. Meanwhile, sophomores participated in a Greatest Good McDonogh impact event—assembling buckets of cleaning supplies for the Ronald McDonald House; and freshmen learned the ins and outs of Upper School. They ended their day with a cool treat from Kona Ice.
