There was excitement in the air at McDonogh School on Wednesday, September 2, as students were on campus for instruction for the first time since mid-March. For now, only PK, kindergarten and prefirst students, affectionally known as the "Littles" are on campus. They took right to their new routines of using touchless hand-sanitizing stations before entering their classrooms, wearing masks, and keeping a safe distance.
Meanwhile, first through fourth grade began in virtual school. Using school provided iPads and Chromebooks, students connected with their homeroom teachers and their classmates over Zoom. While it was a different start to the school year, students still brought the same level of enthusiasm and sense of joy that comes naturally in the Lower School.
