Fifth Grade Helps Furry Friends

After leading a food and supply drive to support the Baltimore Humane Society, the fifth grade came together on Friday, January 17 to organize the donations and participate in several service initiatives to help cats, dogs, and birds at the center.

The Baltimore Humane Society (BHS) cares for thousands of wonderful animals each year and its 343 acres of land also serve as a protected sanctuary for local wildlife. The BHS depends on donations and volunteers to continue its critical work and the fifth grade was excited to work together to support their furry friends waiting on "forever homes." Students made blankets for kennels, dog and cat toys, bird feeders, posters to encourage adoption, and cards to thank those who do adopt. The donations will be delivered to the BHS over the weekend.
