A Classic Day of Golf

The 44th McDonogh Classic, on Tuesday, September 10 was a great success as 80 alumni, parents, alumni parents, faculty, grandparents, and friends gathered on the greens for an afternoon of golf! The annual event at the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club benefits the McDonogh Alumni Association. After lunch on the patio, golfers enjoyed 18 holes of competition followed by raffles, refreshments, and dinner. Congratulations to this year’s award winners: 

Eagle Cup First Place Team: Keegan Meacham and Paul McKinnell 

First Place (net): Ben Crabbs '87, Dave Farace '87, Pete Ward '87, and Rusty Ward '87

Second Place (net): Bill Dodd, Dave Galoppo, Mike Shenkle, and Bill Sweeney

First Place (gross): Parker Bratton '09, Adam Gold '10, Jay Sapperstein '10, and Matt Tuneski

Second Place (gross): Aaron Finkelstein '75, Bruce Finkelstein '73, Scott Finkelstein, and Rob Singleton '73

The Longest Drive was hit by Keith Parker '02 on hole four. Jon Aaron '72 earned the Closest to the Pin award on hole 5 and Dave Meurer '79 was the closest on the 18th hole.
