At McDonogh, classrooms don't always have desks, chairs, or even walls. Some times they have mud, grass, and a stream running right through them. The seventh grade conducted their annual stream studay on the morning of Friday, May 10. Head of the Middle School Science Department Eileen Heady has been taking seventh graders down to the stream for the last 21 years. They take measurements, look for macroinvertebrates, and assess the overall health of the stream. Heady has kept all of the data collected during past studies so students are able to track changes in the stream over the years.
