24 Hours of Innovation
There were food breaks, naps in sleeping bags, a midnight cup stacking competition, and a whole lot of coding at McDonogh's first-ever 24-hour hackathon on Saturday, November 10 into Sunday, November 11. After a coding demonstration, students from several schools broke into six teams and competed in a test of creativity and sleep-deprived will as they spent the next 24 hours creating games and apps that centered around a food theme. Judges reviewed their work and rewarded the top three teams.
