Students Create Cozy Blankets of Hope
An amazing assortment of plain and patterned fleece fabric was transformed into cozy “blankets of hope” by students in third and seventh grade on Wednesday, October 18. In November, the blankets will be donated to the Red Devils, an organization that supports the needs of cancer patients and their families. The blanket material was purchased with money the third grade students earned by shining shoes, as a follow-up to reading the novel Shoeshine Girl by Clyde Robert Bulla.
