Volunteers Put Roots to Bed

It took a crew of more than 45 volunteers a little over two hours to put Roots to bed for the winter. The crew, comprised of families, faculty, alumni, and friends reported to the farm on Saturday morning, November 19 and got to work pulling up tomato plants, cutting down sunflowers, pruning apple trees, removing irrigation tubes, collecting markers, hauling debris, and doing many other chores. After working up an appetite, everyone gathered in the barn for a potluck lunch.
