Eighth Grade Robots to the Rescue
When disaster strikes, call on the eighth graders who spent the winter term learning to program Lego robots to perform a series of tasks in a FIRST Lego League (FLL) robotics challenge called Nature’s Fury. On Wednesday, March 2 teams of students spent the morning on the stage in the Klein Lyceum putting the robots that they had programmed to the test of assisting a community during a natural disaster. The robotics course teaches basic programming and the FLL's core values of teamwork, cooperation, and collaboration.
