Hurricane Doesn’t Stop 8th Grade Bay Trip
With Hurricane Joaquin bearing down on the East Coast, it was touch and go for the annual 8th Grade Bay Trip planned for October 5-7. The storm went out to sea and the trip went off a day late. For three days at several Chesapeake Bay Foundation sites, students fished, cut bait, crabbed, harvested oysters, conducted water tests, rolled in the muck, and had a blast.
