Robotics Team Introduces Congressman to Romulus
Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, a believer in getting young people excited about STEM industries, stopped by campus on April 20 to meet McDonogh’s Robotics Team and their recycle bin-stacking robot, Romulus. The students explained that in the process of building Romulus they learned a lot about mechanical and electrical engineering, computer science, computer-aided design, public relations, business, mentoring, art, construction, and teamwork. Congressman Ruppersberger even took a turn operating the robot!
