Eighth Grade Closing Marks Next Step on Journey

A weekend’s worth of torrential rain forced faculty, family, and friends into the Rollins-Luetkemeyer Athletic Center on Monday, June 4 for the Eighth Grade Closing Ceremony. The soggy weather did not dampen the spirits of the 119 members of the Class of 2022 who eagerly anticipated receiving their certificates from Middle School Head Darren Ford. Student speakers Joshua G. and Beatrice M. reminisced about the past four years in Middle School and looked forward to their future in Upper School. In his remarks, Ford referenced Robert Frost saying, “Take the road that may be less traveled, have the courage to take your road. And with every step you take, be your best self; take care of those around you; use your words for the greatest good...for these choices will make all the difference.”
