As an independent school, McDonogh is privately supported by alumni, parents, and friends in many ways—through gifts to The McDonogh Fund; capital gifts in support of priorities such as endowed faculty and scholarship funds and facilities; planned gifts and bequests; and grants and awards from corporations and foundations.
Every gift matters. However you choose to support McDonogh—and at whatever level—your generosity is essential, appreciated, and makes a real difference in advancing our mission.
The McDonogh Fund is an annual fundraising campaign that provides support to the school’s budget. All members of the McDonogh community, including alumni, parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, and other friends of the school are asked to support this most important effort. Give online today!
Launched in 2010 with a goal of $75 million, The McDonogh Forever Campaign set forth to enhance facilities, build the school's endowment, and bolster annual giving through The McDonogh Fund. With over $73.5 million raised in gifts and pledges, McDonogh has been fortunate to receive this additional financial support from alumni, parents, and friends to keep moving the school and its mission forward.
Planned Gifts are a mutually beneficial area of charitable giving in which donors can make a meaningful gift to McDonogh, create estate and income tax deductions, and avoid capital gains on stock and real estate, while addressing their needs or the needs of loved ones as well as McDonogh's. A planned gift declaration may easily be disclosed by completing the Charitable Bequest Intent form. Disclosure of this leadership commitment automatically enrolls a donor in the John McDonogh Living Legacy Society.
