Portraits of Courage

The best learning comes when our students share the knowledge they have gained with others. After covering the Civil Rights Movement and the Montgomery Bus Boycott in class, the third grade presented what they learned to the second and fourth grade through their "Profiles of Courage" series on Tuesday, May 8. Focusing first on Rosa Parks, the third graders gave a performance in the Klein Lyceum that profiled the famed activist's role in the boycott. After, they broke into smaller groups and gave presentations on other major figures in the Civil Rights Movement. Watch the presentation here.
