McDonogh Girls Basketball Camp


Ages: Girls entering grades 4 to 9
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: June 20 to June 24
Dates: June 27 to July 1
Tuition: $325 per week

Directed by McDonogh Varsity Girls Basketball Coach Amy Brooks, this camp is designed to improve the skills of all players, regardless of ability level. Skill development, individual competitions, team play, and fun will all be emphasized as players build the foundation necessary to compete in middle school and high school. The staff will include college and high school coaches and players.



McDonogh Girls Lacrosse Camp:
General Skills


Ages: Girls 6 to 14
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: June 20 to June 24
Tuition: $325

The General Skills Camp is designed for players who range from beginner to three years experience and who are interested in focusing on improving their basic skills and general positional skill development. Players will also receive instruction on position specific skills. Coaches will have vast experience in coaching at a variety of levels.

Goucher College’s women’s head lacrosse coach, Ceri Miller, will direct this year’s lacrosse camp at theMcDonogh School. With six years of collegiate coaching experience, Miller brings a lot to the playing field.

In two full seasons at Goucher, Miller has put the Gophers on the map as an up-and-coming program. She has coached nine All-Landmark Selections as well as the 2015 Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year. Under Miller, the Gophers were Landmark conference semifinalists in 2015 which led to her staff being awarded the Coaching Staff of the Year. Miller is strongly involved with the Check-Hers Elite Lacrosse Club as she is the head coach of the 2021 age team and the assistant coach of the 2020 age team.(/p>

Prior to obtaining the head coaching position at Goucher, Miller was the women’s assistant lacrosse coach at Dickinson College where she coached five All-Conference and four All-Region Selections. During her three seasons, she led the team’s weight lifting and conditioning programs as well as directed the Red Devil Women’s Lacrosse Day Camp. Miller spent one season as the women’s assistant lacrosse coach at Washington and Jefferson College upon completion of her highly touted five-year playing career between C.W. Post Long Island University and McDaniel College.

The Advanced Skills Camp is designed for players who have more than three years of experience and who demonstrate strong basic skills. Players will be challenged with high level instruction on tactics, strategy, and game like play. Players will increase knowledge in all positions in order to reach the next level for their age group.

Ages: Girls 7 to 14

Directed by McDonogh Girls Varsity Head Coach Harry Canellakis, this camp is designed for soccer players of all levels and is structured around the fundamentals that established McDonogh's nationally-ranked girls program. Younger players will be provided basic skills, techniques, and simple game concepts. The more elite players will learn the core technical and tactical principles the identify McDonogh Soccer. Each Camper will have fun learning the game and acquiring skills that will help them reach their soccer potential. This camp is offered in conjunction with Maryland United North.

The McDonogh Softball Camp: General Skills


Ages: Girls 8 to 12
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: June 27 to July 1

McDonogh Head Varsity Softball and Riviera Beach Spirit 18U Coach John Folfas, directs this camp, and is assisted by a staff of college players. This camp is for all ability levels and the emphasis will be to instruct players on the basic skills needed for playing at the next level, while having fun. The camp will consist of teaching proper techniques of throwing, fielding, defense, base running, bunting, slapping, and hitting. Players will have the opportunity to display their talents through various competitions and daily controlled scrimmages.

Campers must bring a glove, bat, cleats, tennis shoes, and helmet.


McDonogh Softball Camp: Advanced Skills


Ages: Girls 10 to 15
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: June 27 to July 1
Tuition: $325

Designed for the travel or club softball player, this camp is directed by John Folfas, McDonogh Head Varsity Softball and Riviera Beach Spirit 18U Coach. Emphasis will be to prepare athletes for high school and advanced levels of competition through individual and team development. Current and former college players will provide daily instruction in a variety of offensive and defensive skills. Campers have the opportunity to showcase their talents through controlled games and various competitions throughout the week. This is a great camp to sharpen your skills before your next tournament or upcoming Nationals.

Campers must bring a glove, bat, cleats, tennis shoes, and helmet.




McDonogh Eagle Volleyball Camp


Ages: Girls 10 to 17
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: July 5 to July 8 (4th of July Week)
Tuition: $260

Directed by McDonogh Head Varsity Volleyball Coach Ginger Gelston, the Eagle Volleyball Camp is designed for girls of all skill levels. Players will be instructed in the fundamentals as well as the rules and strategies of the game. Focus will be on skill development appropriate to each player’s ability and level. Players will participate in competitive activities designed to improve techniques and confidence. No volleyball experience is necessary.




McDonogh Field Hockey Camp


Ages: Girls 8 to 13
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: July 11 - July 15
Tuition: $325

The McDonogh Girls' Field Hockey Camp is designed for players whose goal is to develop a competitive spirit as well as technique. McDonogh Field Hockey Coach Jan Kunkel and her experienced staff will provide campers with instruction, games, stick work practices, tactical offensive and defensive strategies, and encouragement.

Each camper plays an equal amount of time in games, and staff members are available to give individual attention. Competitive and teamwork experiences will occur on the field and in the Henry A. Rosenberg, Jr. Aquatic Center.

We welcome novice and experienced players. Campers from the same school or from the same recreation or club team may practice and play together throughout the week – please note this on your child’s application form. All campers are required to bring their own water bottle/jug, stick, mouth and shin guards. Goalies must bring their own equipment.

Girls General Skills

The McDonogh International Soccer School for Girls General Skills Camp is designed to introduce players to the world of international soccer. It is directed by Sean Rush, former professional European soccer player, youth coach and president of Pipeline International Soccer Academy, and assisted by international coaches, players and scouts, as well as local assistants. The Soccer School will focus on the technical training elements used by professional soccer players worldwide. Ball control, ball movement, shooting, passing, and spatial awareness will be the focus of the program. Although learning is the primary objective, this program will be fun for all. This program sold out in 2014!


McDonogh International Soccer School:
Team Training Camp

Ages: Girls 7 to 14
Hours: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dates: CLOSED
Tuition: $195 per player (minimum 10 players per team)

The McDonogh International Soccer School Team Training Camp is designed to assist already formed travel or club teams in all aspects of the game. Professional coaches will individually work with teams to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Attacking and defending as a team, shape, vision, communication, and skill development will be emphasized in this program.

Please note players must register as a team and all registrations must be received in one team envelope. Please do not register online for this program!

The McDonogh International Soccer School: Half-Day Soccer, Half-Day Tennis Camp is designed to allow players to participate in and receive the benefit of both sports within one week. Players will attend our General Skills Soccer Camp from 9 a.m. until lunch and then attend Tennis after lunch until 4 p.m.

McDonogh International Soccer School:Half-Day Soccer/Half-Day Rock Wall and Ropes Course

The McDonogh International Soccer School: Half-Day Soccer, Half-Day Rock Wall and Ropes Camp is designed to allow players to participate in and receive the benefit of both activities within one week. Campers will attend our General Skills Soccer Camp from 9 a.m. until lunch and then visit our Rock Wall and Ropes Course after lunch until 4 p.m.

Girls Advanced Program

Ages: Girls 9 to 16

The McDonogh International Soccer School Advanced Program is designed to offer the highest level of tactical and technical training and conditioning for both field players and goalkeepers. The program is directed by former European professional soccer player Sean Rush and his staff of international coaches, players, and scouts. Focus will be on advancing the club and travel team player to the next level and prepare her for the upcoming season. This program sold out in 2014!

The McDonogh International Soccer School Club Level Camp is designed to train aspiring club-level players and teams for the upcoming 2016–2017 club season. The program is directed by Sean Rush, former European soccer professional, and his staff of international coaches, players, and scouts.

The McDonogh International Soccer School Striker Camp is designed to focus on the most sought-after position on any team, the goal scorer. Instruction will be offered on finishing of all types. Each participant will receive the opportunity to take over 1,000 shots from every angle and spot on the field, including instep volleys, bicycle kicks, corners, headers, toe pokes, penalties, and more. This program will be directed by Sean Rush and his experienced staff of international coaches, strikers, and goal scorers. This program sold out in 2014!

The McDonogh International Soccer School Midfielder Camp is designed to teach the technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful midfielder. The program is directed by Sean Rush and his staff of international coaches and professional midfielders. The program will focus on reading the game, spatial awareness, positioning, and understanding the flow of play. The player will have the opportunity to excel at one of the most grueling positions on the field. This program sold out in 2014!

The McDonogh International Soccer School Defender Camp is designed to teach the technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful defender and to improve each camper’s skills. The camp is directed by Sean Rush and his staff of international coaches and professional defenders. The program will focus on reading the game, spatial awareness, positioning, timing of tackles, attacking from a defensive position, communication, and concentration. This program sold out in 2014!

Girls Goalkeeper Camp

The McDonogh International Soccer School Goalkeeper Camp is designed to teach the technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful goalkeeper and to improve each camper’s skills. The camp is directed by Sean Rush and his staff of international coaches and professional goalkeepers. Each goalkeeper will be encouraged to test her limits during training sessions and game situations. Instruction will be offered in shot stopping, crosses, ball distribution, communication, concentration, and organization of the defense. This program sold out in 2014.
