Japanese Students Visit McDonogh

Just ten days after the devastating earthquake and tsunami struck Japan, eight students and two teachers from the Seijo Gakuen Senior High School in Tokyo arrived at McDonogh for a two-week stay. The visit is part of an exchange program between the two schools that began in 1988. The guests, who are staying with host families from McDonogh, have been keeping busy absorbing American sights, cuisine, and culture. In addition to attending classes, the Japanese students spent a day in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
