Sixth Grade

The course continues to emphasize the importance and appropriate use of mental arithmetic, estimation, and problem solving. Students review the four basic mathematical operations with whole numbers, decimals, and fractions and are introduced to these operations with ratio, proportion, and percents. The students become more sophisticated in their study of geometry, probability, statistics, logic, measurement and number theory.
