This course will provide a comprehensive introduction to the C++ computer programming language. Students will learn the C++ language by writing programs using the Microsoft Visual C++ programming environment. Students enrolled in the class will explore the following major components of the C++ language: Control Structures, Functions and Arrays, Pointers and Strings, Classes/Data Abstraction, Inheritance, and Stream I/O. If time permits, students will study and implement Windows applications based on the Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC). This is open to students in 10th - 12th grades.
