McDonogh School

This weekend, 47 burgeoning actors will take the stage in the Horn Theatre for this summer's Young Actors Theatre production. The campers come from 18 different area schools, including McDonogh, and they range from 10 to 15 years of age.

Once On This Island, a Caribbean adaptation of The Little Mermaid, is written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, who were also behind the smash hits Ragtime and Seussical. The show is the culmination of weeks of rehearsal, as well as the hard work of direction team Ken Waller, Wanda Waller, and Rachel Ayers Waller.

Shows will be Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14 at 7:30 p.m., as well as a matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 15. Tickets are $8 for all ages. For more information, call 410-998-3526.
