The Future of Our Place

The future of our place, our campus, is about to be decided. By spring 2010, full details of a new campus master plan will be revealed.

The plan combines the values and traditions that have always made McDonogh one of the nation’s finest schools with enhancements that ensure it will remain so.

McDonogh is already blessed with exceptional faculty and students, an enduring mission, and an unsurpassed campus for an independent school. The greatest opportunities for improvement exist in the place.

The Campus Master Plan calls for spaces as inspiring as the students and teachers they will serve. Priorities include:

• building a new, multipurpose student life center, with dining space for students K-12, plus visual arts and dance facilities
• building an Upper School science, technology, engineering, and math center
• renovating Allan Building into a home for the humanities
• improving open-space and traffic management

McDonogh intends to employ environmentally sensitive practices, technologies, and materials in all projects.
