McDonogh's newest exchange program is a three-week immersion experience in Peru, led by Spanish teacher and Peruvian native Patricia Tasher. Students will travel through the country, visit sacred sites, savor the diverse cuisine, participate in community-service activities with children in the community, and take Spanish classes at the award-winning Excel Language School.
Students will spend a week with a Peruvian host family in Cuzco while attending classes. A home stay program is a wonderful opportunity to explore everything that Peru has to offer and to learn about the culture and daily life of Peruvians. Students will learn much from the home-stay experience, whether it be on family outings, get-togethers, or just hanging out with their hosts.
