The Arts at McDonogh

The arts are essential to McDonogh's intellectual environment from kindergarten to grade 12. Arts faculty members believe that students can see their world and themselves with clearer eyes when they have had the experience of sculpting a piece of clay or developing a photograph; that the experience gained in walking in someone else's shoes in the theatre expands the center of concern out of self and toward others; and that communication through dance and music enriches humanity. Above all, students are encouraged to find joy in artistic expression.
